For over 75 years, Hoskin Scientific Limited has been a supplier of testing and monitoring instrumentation to the Canadian market. With offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Oakville, and Montreal, our customers receive local sales and technical expertise for a wide variety of products, rentals, and services. We focus on three major markets: Environmental Monitoring, Geotechnical and materials Testing, and Test and measurement Instrumentation.

Qualifications required

Requirements and Skills:

  • Do you possess a Positive attitude?
  • Partner with key stakeholders, such as sales, finance, rentals, and shipping, for the growth and ongoing operations of Hoskin’s Service Department’s business.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline would be a definite advantage.
  • Are you a professional presenter and communicator?
  • Do you have Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English?
  • Do you Possess analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company?
  • Are you organized and have good time management skills?
  • Are you proficient with Windows and Microsoft applications? Precisely Microsoft Outlook?
  • Are you self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals?

Responsibilities

The Service CSR administers all service documentation for the service department. Based in our Burnaby office, your aim is to be a reliable customer service representative. Providing top-notch customer service support and a positive attitude are essential. Work efforts must align with the needs of the Service Manager and Service Techs. Be a good steward of the company’s service business.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and in alignment with all health & safety regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable of all aspects of our service business systems; training will be provided.
  • Handle, direct, and action inbound customer communications.
  • Create and distribute return authorizations for customer units in need of repair.
  • Handle the sign-in process for customer units.
  • Open service quotes for service techs, help with presentation and distribution to the client.
  • Create and communicate purchase orders to our vendors.
  • Expedite repairs with our vendors.
  • Pick parts for service work.
  • Handle customer inquiries on repair status.
  • Facilitate parts transactions from the warehouse to the Service Order.
  • Create shipping paperwork and communicate shipping needs to our warehouse team.
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Convert Service Orders to Service Invoices in our billing system.
  • Coordinate electrical inspections for sales units.
  • Attend A/R and A/P activities associated with Service & Rental business.
  • Support other offices in peak periods and for vacation and sick coverage.
  • Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts.
  • Support to the Rental dept as directed by management.
  • Other duties as required by Hoskin management.

Pay: $43,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
