Qualifications required

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in biology, hydrology, geography, meteorology, or any related fields.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years in customer service, sales background, an asset
  • Experience with water quality, hydrology, meteorology, biology and other life science an asset.
  • Varied software experience, data acquisition, Office 365

For over 75 years, Hoskin Scientific Limited has been a supplier of testing and monitoring instrumentation to the Canadian market. With offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Oakville, and Montreal, our customers receive local sales and technical expertise for a wide variety of products, rentals, and services. We focus on three major markets: Environmental Monitoring, Geotechnical and materials Testing, and Test and measurement Instrumentation.

Purpose Statement

  • Prioritizing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Become a valuable knowledge resource for our environmental products and commit to excel in product support.
  • Consistently enhance sales performance, aiming to meet or surpass the sales quotas

Principal Duties

  • Provide technical expertise to customers, addressing inquiries and offering solutions.
  • Effectively communicate the technical features and benefits of products.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry regulations, and market trends., as well as acquire better selling skills
  • Strive to implement the “Relationship Selling” model
  • Develop new customer connections and expand the customer base.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to contribute to product and service improvement.
  • Provide insights and suggestions for enhancing customer satisfaction.

Reporting includes:

  • Effective communication with the environmental sales team lead, other sales team members, as well as purchasing, finance, warehouse, service, and rental team members
  • Utilize the company’s CRM tools to track and report on sales activities.
  • Strive to provide “hands-on” after-service support as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Combination of in office and work from home
  • Occasional conferences could require 1-2 overnight stays a year

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
