The Dytran series 3220 is a low profile, high frequency ring shaped IEPE accelerometer offered with various sensitivities and an overall weight of just 2.7 grams.
Featuring a quartz shear sensing element encased in a lightweight titanium housing, electrical connection for the Dytran series 3220 is achieved via a specially designed coaxial glass–to–metal sealed 5–44 connector, which can be positioned in any desired radial direction. The series 3220 also features a miniature thru hole mounting configuration, allowing the sensor to be turned 360° prior to securing for ease of installation. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments, as well as base isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
