Business Development (Drones)

Technical sales representative, Montreal

Measur is a supplier of fixed-wing drones, rotary drones, inspection drones, LIDAR, GNSS, GIS, total station, construction, and 3D scanning products across Canada.

Reporting To: National Sales Operations Manager - Drones & Geomatics

Working Conditions:
- This position has the option to be Hybrid OR on a 4-day work week schedule
- This position will be in an Office/Lab environment
- Regular travel is required up to 50% of the time, this can fluctuate throughout the year

The Business Development (Drones) role at Measur drives growth by supporting existing accounts and acquiring new business within a
specified territory. Focused on expanding our market presence in unmanned inspection solutions, this role covers fixed-wing and rotary
drones, unmanned ground vehicles, LiDAR, GNSS, GIS, total stations, and advanced payloads. As Canada’s leading drone and 3D scanning
product supplier, Measur seeks a dynamic sales professional who is passionate about drones and skilled in building strong customer
relationships, contributing to our continued industry leadership.

Qualifications required

Education & Key Competencies:

  • Technical or Relevant Sciences Diploma
  • Must be Bilingual in English and French
  • Must have 2 years of technical sales experience in a related field
  • Aviation or Drone piloting experience would be considered an Asset, but can be obtained upon hiring
  • Experience with Drones would be considered an asset
  • Drivers License is required
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, ensuring efficient task management and prioritization.
  • Excellent time management skills, maintaining productivity, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
  • Highly tech-savvy, with a keen interest in emerging technologies within the Drones and Geomatics industry.
  • Socially adept and customer-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

  • Work safely and in alignment with all health & safety regulations.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales goals for new business development, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and efficient process that enhances customer experience and maximizes conversion rates.
  • Conduct in-depth demonstrations of our drone products, effectively communicating their features, benefits, and competitive advantages to potential clients, both in-person and through virtual platforms.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, delivering compelling product presentations and engaging with industry professionals to expand the company’s network and market presence.
  • Regularly collaborate with the sales manager to discuss the current sales pipeline, strategize on opportunities, and develop action plans to address challenges and achieve sales objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the drone sector to provide informed recommendations and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to inform product development and improve service offerings, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status, providing regular reports to management to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
