Test, calibrate, and repair. Our service technicians have been factory-trained to meet the needs of our customers.
Our servicesHoskin Scientific operates four service centres across Canada: Coquitlam (BC), Oakville (ON), Lachine (QC), and Edmonton (AB). From these centres we deliver calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance on the full range of scientific, environmental, geotechnical, and industrial instrumentation we distribute. Every instrument is handled by a factory-trained technician working to the manufacturer’s published procedure.
We are the exclusive certified Canadian service centre for YSI, Onset, Cannon, XOS, Proceq, Smith Root backpacks, and Grabner. We are also a factory-authorised service partner for most of the lines in our broader catalogue.
Every calibration we perform is documented to ISO 17025 and traceable to NIST primary standards. Calibration certificates list the instrument, range, accuracy class, and standards used. Each one is ready for audit by your QC team, regulator (MECP, ECCC, AAFC), or quality system. Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 business days from receipt at our service centre; rush service is available on time-critical projects.
If an instrument fails in the field, our service team troubleshoots, sources OEM parts, replaces consumables, and returns the unit to factory specification. We carry common spare parts in Canada to minimise downtime. For end-of-life or unsupported equipment, we work with the manufacturer to repair, upgrade, or recommend a current-generation replacement that fits your existing workflow.
Our factory-trained technicians provide on-site installation, commissioning, calibration, and repair across Canada. On-site work is scoped per job: instrument type, complexity, environment, and travel distance. Request a quote through the form below for a specific instrument or deployment.
Long-running monitoring programs depend on instruments staying calibrated season after season. We offer scheduled annual or semi-annual service contracts that bundle calibration, preventive maintenance, and consumable replacement at a predictable cost. This keeps research, compliance, and QC programs running without surprise downtime.
Each Hoskin Scientific service centre carries factory-trained capacity on the major instrument lines. Choose the centre closest to your team:
