The basic principle of the Asphaltanalysator for the determination of sieve analysis, binder content and if requested binder quality of bituminous mixes by

• elution of binder using a washing chamber and a rotating sieve drum
• separate filler and binder/solvent in a high performance centrifuge
• attached distillation unit to separate binder and solvent
• drying of minerals and filler and re-use of solvent in a closed system still remains the best available technology. This does not mean that the machines have remained unchanged since 1997. • are equipped with a diagnostic inspection system

One of the most essential points of innovation and further development is the again reduced solvent loss per extraction. The value calculated according our internal quality criteria was stated for earlier supplied machines with < 50 ml. For the new Asphaltanalysator this important value can be stated with < 20 ml allowing us to award the machine with the infraTest ecological seal of approval ecoTest.
