The Dytran series 1051C is a piezoelectric charge mode force sensor, designed to measure both compressive and tensile forces from 10 to 5,000 lbf over a wide frequency range. Offered with a sensitivity of 18 pC/lbf, this dynamic force sensor can measure up to 500 lbs full scale in tension mode, with reliable high temperature operation to +500°F (+260°C).

Design of the series 1051C features a quartz shear sensing element, operating in compression mode and packaged in a rugged stainless steel housing for an overall weight of 32 grams. Units incorporate a 10–32 radial connector and 1/4–28 tapped holes located at both the top and bottom of the sensor housing for ease of mounting.

Features:

  • Stainless steel
  • +500°F (+260°C) operation
  • Charge mode

Applications:

  • Modal analysis
  • Process control
  • General purpose dynamic force measurements
