Overview

Ideal for researchers and growers looking for accurate data to complete their plant growth picture, this Bluetooth-enabled, fully integrated logger delivers high precision measurements for soil moisture/EC, VWC, and temperature with an external sensor, as well as temperature/RH with an internal sensor. An upgrade from the cost-effective MX2306 and MX2307, this all-in-one solution tracks soil, plant, and atmospheric conditions simultaneously to assess growing conditions, improve crop yields, reduce harmful runoff, and protect ecosystems.

Connected to a mobile phone, tablet, or Windows laptop running the free HOBOconnect app, the logger features convenient Bluetooth wireless setup and data download when within 100 feet of the logger—making it easy to retrieve data from hard-to-access field locations. For indoor areas, such as greenhouses, users can add the MX Gateway and MX Data Plan for remote access to data with LI-COR Cloud® software.

* Typical, up to 90% of change

** Per RH sensor manufacturer data sheet

*** Calibrated against an Eppley Precision Spectral Pyranometer (PSP) under natural daylight conditions. Absolute uncertainty under these conditions is ± 3% typical; ± 5% maximum.

**** The sensor data can be post-calibrated if necessary (e.g. the sensor is used in non-mineral soil types or higher than standard accuracy is required). Users can apply a calibration equation to the data exported from HOBOlink. The VWC range will depend on the calibration equation.

***** For additional accuracy, the sensor data can be post-calibrated for a particular soil by applying a calibration equation to the data exported from the app.
