The Dytran series 1051 is an IEPE force sensor designed to measure dynamic forces up to 5,000 lbf over a wide frequency range. Offered with sensitivities ranging from 1–500 mV/lbf, this dynamic force sensor can measure up to 500 lbs full scale in tension mode. As an IEPE sensor, the series 1051V features built–in electronics, eliminating the need for an external charge amplifier and converter.
Design of the series 1051V features a quartz sensing element, operating in compression mode and packaged in a rugged stainless steel housing weighing 28 grams. Units utilize a 10–32 radial connector and 1/4–28 tapped holes located at both the top and bottom of the sensor housing for ease of mounting.
