The Dytran model 3187D is an IEPE accelerometer with a sensitivity of 500 mV/g and an excellent low frequency response of 0.48 Hz.
Design of the model 3187D incorporates an annular shear ceramic sensing element, packaged in a highly rugged stainless steel housing with a 2–pin MIL–C–5015 axial connector. The model 3187D is designed to be directly compatible with the Dytran series 6194 Immersion Proof boot. When used together, the sensor remains fully functional in an IP65 environment. The model 3187D is hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
