A portable source of ozone that is the perfect companion for calibrating virtually any ambient ozone analyzer – not just those manufactured by 2B Tech. The instrument scrubs ozone from ambient air and produces any mixing ratio of ozone in the range 30 to 1,000 ppbv.
- Ozone mixing ratio controlled so as to be independent of ambient temperature, pressure and humidity
- Level 4 transfer standard for calibrating ozone analyzers in the field relative to a lab standard
- Schedule an autocalibration once daily that executes a series of up to 10 programmable output steps
Overview
- Portable ozone calibration source that produces O3 by photolysis of O2 in air at 185 nm
- Desired ozone concentration in the range of 30 to 1000 ppbv is chosen from the easy-to-use menu using a rotary select switch, or can be controlled remotely via the serial menu
- Total output flow rate in the range 3.0-3.2 L/min volumetric and can be connected directly to the inlet of any ozone analyzer
- Excess flow is vented through an internal overflow T capped with an ozone scrubber
- Factory-calibrated against 2B Tech’s NIST-traceable standard
- Can easily be calibrated against your lab ozone standard, allowing the instrument to be a transfer standard for calibrating ozone instruments in the field
- Scheduler function allows a scheduled autocalibration once daily that executes a series of up to 10 programmable output steps
Example Applications of the Model 306:
- Maintaining the calibrations of networks of ozone analyzers
- Testing of materials such as rubber, plastics and paint for effects of ozone exposure
- Studies of the effect of ozone on plants where a calibrated source of ozone is required
Features
- Can be used to calibrate any ambient ozone analyzer, regardless of manufacturer
- Has ambient bypass that allows instrument to be connected to an ambient ozone analyzer at all times
- Can be programmed with a user-customizable calibration sequence of up to 10 steps
- Scheduler feature allows custom calibration sequence to be ran automatically once daily at a user-defined time
