The Seta Cu/Ag Corrosion Solid Block Bath is specifically designed for
measuring Thin Silver Strip Corrosion to ASTM D7667 and Copper Corrosion
to ASTM D130.
The bath features four test wells to accommodate Seta Corrosion Test
Vessels (11500-0) and four test tube pre heating wells for 25mm diameter
x 150mm test tubes.
The bath incorporates a centre hole in the block with a protruding
aperture on the top cover for mounting a thermometer or digital
thermometer probe which can be used to verify the test block bath
temperature. The bath is capable of achieving a temperature stability of
better than ±1°C at temperatures between 40 and 100°C as specified in
ASTM D7667 and ASTM D130 Test Methods.
The bath is machined from a solid aluminium block and is heated by four
high power silicon heating pads on the sides of the block. An integral
digital temperature controller allows the operator to select a test
setpoint temperature in the range of 50 to 150°C. The bath is fitted
with an over-temperature cut-out switch that switches the power off if
the measured temperature exceeds the factory set (default) cut-out
temperature of 165°C.
