The ILUDEST® The KV 80 short path evaporator is ideal for the gentle thermal separation of temperature-sensitive or high-molecular substances. Thanks to extremely short residence times and a condenser integrated in the center, thermal stress is reduced to a minimum—while maintaining high separation efficiency.
Typical areas of application can be found in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, fine chemicals, plastics processing and in research and development. Operation is continuous at temperatures up to 300 °C and pressures up to the high vacuum range (10-³ mbar). The rotating wiper produces a thin film of product that is heated evenly and condensed immediately – without having to go through long steam paths.
The KV 80 is supplied as a ready-to-connect system and can be individually configured with glass or stainless steel design, heating jacket, vacuum technology and process control, depending on requirements.
