The Dytran model 3217A is a low profile IEPE accelerometer with a 100 mV/g sensitivity. The sensor features a factory molded urethane boot and a variable length integral urethane cable, for reliable operation in water depths to 175 psi.
Sensor design incorporates a ceramic shear sensing element for high natural frequency, along with low noise electronics, encased in a rugged lightweight titanium housing. The sensor is base isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference and is offered with adhesive mounting capabilities. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments.
