CT3™ Texture Analyzer

Stand-Alone Texture Testing for Production and QC Teams

Contact us for details

When texture changes, you need answers fast, not a complex setup. The CT3 Texture Analyzer is built for quick, repeatable compression and tension testing in stand-alone mode. Using standard methods, QC teams can run simple pass/fail checks and make confident decisions for incoming materials, in-process control, routine production, and batch release.

WHY CHOOSE THE CT3 TEXTURE ANALYZER?
CT3 delivers simple, repeatable texture testing for production and quality control environments. With stand-alone operation, standard test modes, flexible load cell choices, and a wide range of fixtures, CT3 provides fast, consistent QC checks without the complexity of software-based testing systems.

  • Fast QC decisions: Run practical texture checks for incoming materials, in-process control, troubleshooting, and release verification.
  • Stand-alone operation: Perform common compression and tension tests without a connected computer or complex software.
  • Repeatable workflows: Use standard modes to help reduce operator variability and support consistent testing across operators and shifts.
  • Flexible setup: Match the instrument to the sample with load cell options, base table choices, probes, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Application-focused testing: Support common texture checks across food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, packaging, adhesive, rubber, and mechanical device applications.

Standard Test Modes

CT3 includes six standard test modes plus a calibration check:

  • Normal: single compression cycle
  • Hold Time: compress and hold
  • Cycle Count: repeat compressions
  • Bloom: gelatin bloom strength
  • TPA: Texture Profile Analysis
  • Tension: tensile testing
  • Static Load: calibration check

Applications
  • Food Industry: Evaluate texture characteristics throughout production, from incoming ingredient inspection and in-process control to final product quality verification. Measure firmness, consistency, hardness, ripeness, crispness, and break point in bakery, dairy, snacks, confectionery, fruits, vegetables, meat, and protein products.
  • Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices: Perform routine testing of tablets, capsules, gelatin products, drug delivery devices, and packaging. Support repeatable measurements for compression strength, separation force, syringe actuation force, blister pack push-through force, and basic adhesion testing.
  • Cosmetics & Personal Care: Assess consistency, spreadability, firmness, break force, and combability to support product quality, formulation verification, and batch-to-batch consistency for creams, lotions, lipsticks, pencils, and hair care products.
  • Packaging and Materials Testing: Analyze films, adhesives, seals, packaging materials, rubbers, polymers, and mechanical components using compression and tension test methods. Evaluate tensile strength, puncture resistance, peel force, tack, friction, seal integrity, opening force, deformation, recovery, and basic functional performance.
