The Dytran series 3191 is an IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer with built–in Faraday shield for electrostatic noise immunity, excellent low frequency response of 0.08 Hz and the capability to resolve vibrations as low as 0.000001 g's RMS.

Available with sensitivities ranging from 5,000–10,00 10 mV/g, design of the series 3191 incorporates an annular shear ceramic sensing element, packaged in a highly rugged stainless steel housing with a 2–pin MIL–C–5015 axial connector and 1/4–28 mounting hole. The series 3191 was designed to be directly compatible with the Dytran series 6194 Immersion Proof sealing boot (sold separately). When used together, the sensor remains fully functional in an IP65 environment. The sensors are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.

Features:

  • Stainless steel
  • Hermetic
  • Case isolated
  • Internal Faraday shield
  • Available with water and oil resistant environmental boot
  • IEPE

Applications:

  • Bridge monitoring
  • Low frequency vibration measurements
  • Modal analysis of large structures
  • Seismic monitoring
