The Dytran model 3192A is a rugged IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer with a sensitivity of 1 V/g, a built–in Faraday shield for electrostatic noise immunity, excellent low frequency response of 0.5 Hz and the capability to resolve vibrations as low as 0.00007 g's RMS.

Design of the model 3192A incorporates an annular shear ceramic sensing element, packaged in a stainless steel housing with a 2–pin MIL–C–5015 axial connector and 1/4–28 mounting hole. The sensor is hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
